Authorities report that on May 21, 2021, a woman was killed in San Jose while walking across Senter Road near Lewis Road.
The San Jose Police Department report that the woman had been walking across Senter Road near Lewis Road shortly before 11 PM when a Honda Civic traveling south on six-lane Senter Road struck a woman.
Authorities also report that the woman, crossing the street outside of any marked crosswalk, was pronounced dead at scene. Her name was not released.

Pedestrians Crossing In Unmarked Crosswalks Can Make Still Make An Accident Claim
Did you know that even a pedestrian crosses the street outside of a marked crosswalk, someone who kills or injures you can still be held liable for the crash?
This is because of something called an “unmarked crosswalk.”
A crosswalk is not just the points between the corners of an intersection that are painted; but the points between any intersection, painted or not.
