61 Year Old Pedestrian Gwendolyn Carson Died in Oakland Hit and Run
Pedestrian Gwendolyn Carson of Pittsburg, 61 Years Old, Killed By Unidentified Hit And Run Driver On International Boulevard East Oakland
Authorities report that on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at around 2:15 AM, 61 year old Pittsburg native and pedestrian Gwendolyn Carson was hit on the 9900 block of International Boulevard in East Oakland, California.
The driver fled the scene before the authorities arrived. Officers discovered Ms. Carson's injured body on the roadway. Tragically, Ms. Carson lost her life at the accident scene.
Law enforcement continues to investigate. Anyone with information is urged to call the Oakland Police Department, Traffic Investigation Unit at 510-777-8570 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572. Together, they offer up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the fleeing driver.
My heart goes out to the family of Gwendolyn Carson of Pittsburg, who lost her life in this tragic accident. The wrongdoer in this case must be brought to justice.
