CHP officers are searching for the suspect driving a grey sedan, who ran away after hitting and killing Jason  Miranda on Friday, June 24, 2021, in Central Fresno on Highway 41.

Per the CHP, Miranda was driving an SUV southbound shortly before midnight, on Highway 41, when it crashed for an unknown reason.

After crashing, Jason Miranda apparently stepped outside his SUV to check for damage.  Miranda's female passenger sustained minor injuries. After stepping out, a passing car hit Miranda, causing him to lose his life.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact the CHP or police immediately.

Jason Miranda's family has the right to pursue a wrongful death case against the fleeing motorist and the registered owner of the grey sedan, for wrongful death.

They are urged to contact an attorney immediately to pursue their legal case because time is of the essence. Responsible parties must be held to account for the tragic death of Jason Miranda.
