On Saturday, January 23, 2021 at around 3:00 AM, a fatal accident occurred on Highway 152, just west of Lovers Lane, reports the CHP.

Per the CHP, the Gilroy resident 57 year old man was driving eastbound on the highway. His vehicle drifted over the yellow lines, then crashed head-on into a westbound car driven by a 64 year old man from Gustine.

Tragically, the yet unnamed 57 year old Gilroy man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 64 year old Gustine resident driver of the westbound car was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The CHP continues to investigate this accident.
