In Central Fresno, California, a motorcycle rider and a motor vehicle collided around 7:30 PM on Olive Avenue and Eighth Street last Sunday, February 28, 2021. The Fresno Police report that the motorcyclist may have been speeding when the collision occurred. Speeding is one of the most common causes of accidents.

The motorcyclist got trapped under the motor vehicle with which it crashed. Fortunately, Good Samaritans came to the aid of the rider and pulled him out from underneath the wreckage.

The rider was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center and underwent surgery. The rider's condition is currently unknown. The other party cooperated with the police.

When it comes to motorcycle crashes, back injuries, brain injuries, broken bones, neck injuries are not uncommon.

Burns can also happen if the rider gets thrown from the bike or pinned underneath it. Road rash is a type of burn that can also lead to infection, scarring and disfigurement.  When a motorcycle rider gets pinned under their bike after a crash, the rider can even lose a limb. If a rider gets thrown off the bike, this can lead to paralysis and even death.
