Authorities report that on August 3, 2021, a bicyclist passed away after an August 2, 2021 crash on North Jackson Avenue and McKee Road in San Jose. The accident happened at around 11:00 PM, when the bicyclist was riding north on North Jackson Avenue.
Authorities believe that the bicyclist may have run a red light. Thereafter, a person driving west on McKee Road, in a 2004 Jeep, crashed into the bicyclist.
The Jeep driver remained at the accident scene. The bicyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries. Sadly, the man passed away the next day, on August 3, 2021. His identity has not been released, pending notification to his next of kin.
